Decoding the Serial Number

Starting with ABIV / Auobend 4:

Example: NAEF7092108

     |---Year---|
     7  092  10  8
          |     |
      Prod   Month

This Serial number would decode as the 92nd machine built in Oct, 1978.

NOTE:
Hurco built 'ABIV' contols from MID 70's to the end of 1982 at which time they used 'AB5' controls until 198X. The Prod # was a incrementing number year after year until mid 1978. After that it was incremented thru the current year and then reset to 0001 for the next year.

Now the Letters:

NOTE:
Drive refers to the number of motors for X Axis, usually 1 or 2 but up to 4.
Axis refers to other operations such as RAM depth or Gauge Bar height. (an Axis can contain 0 to 4 motors)
